IATA has joined forces with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University–Worldwide (ERAU) to bring you an online Aviation Management certificate. This Program combines one key aviation course from IATA and five courses from ERAU.

Designed for junior level managers currently working in the aviation industry or professionals entering the industry and seeking a managerial role, the certificate’s curriculum addresses topics such as the overview and interdependence of the air transportation system and fundamental skills required of supervisors and/or managers. Courses are offered fully online and are self-paced. Enrollment is open and courses can be started at any time.

Air Transport Fundamentals (IATA):This course will provide you with an overview of the air transportation system and the interdependence among its components: airlines, airports, civil aviation authorities and air navigation services. Find out more

Productivity and Benchmarking (ERAU): Productivity and benchmarking is a critical tool for the evaluation of goal achievement. This course focuses on some of the fundamental aspects of how to establish meaningful metrics as well as implement plans that enhance overall productivity.

Seven Management Disciplines (ERAU): The seven management disciplines essential to management and business success are discussed in the context of all areas of business operation and management. This course provides a round-table opportunity to evaluate real-life business issues.

Developing Effective Leadership Skills (ERAU): Managers by virtue of their position are leaders. This workshop introduces participants to various leadership styles, performance issues, and methods for succeeding as effective leaders.

Strategic Management in Operation (ERAU): This course develops the practical and managerial skills necessary to successfully plan for operational success. The course covers the basic details for developing an operational plan and designing the strategic direction necessary to achieve these goals.

High Performance Organizations (ERAU): In today's fast paced business climate, becoming a high-performance organization is what sets the great organizations apart from the good. It is what makes the difference between surviving and thriving. High Performance or Performance Driven Organizations are known for realizing a higher return on investment, greater profits, increased productivity, decreased operational costs, improved customer and employee retention, and other key indicators that set them apart from average companies. This course will explore the characteristics and development of high performance organizations.

Additional information

Program graduates will also be awarded the IATA Aviation Management Professional (AvMP) designation. Please note that processing time may take up to 4 weeks from the date they successfully complete the program.
