Prerequisites

  • Participants should have prior knowledge of airport layout, operations and facilities.
  • Recommended level is Intermediate and Advanced.
  • The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 for courses in English or the equivalent level for other languages.

  • Identify and measure the impacts of the certification requirements on the operations of an aeorodrome
  • Understand and fulfill the respective roles and responsibilities of the aerodrome operator and the regulator
  • Learn aerodrome operator obligations to ICAO: Annex 14, emergency response plan, safety management system and aerodrome manual
  • Put theories into practice through a course integration exercise

Certificate awarded

An IATA Certificate of Completion is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 70% or higher on all exercises and exams. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.
