Airline A-CDM Coordination Group (AACG)

The Airline A-CDM Coordination Group (AACG) is tasked with guiding the global rollout of Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM), a program of cultural change in managing the operations of an airport and the communication of operational data with airlines. It was formed in reaction to airlines experiencing difficulties with unharmonized processes and procedures which had developed in the European A-CDM portfolio.

The group provides a consolidated and coordinated airline approach to assist the industry.

Mandate

  • The primary goal for the group, as specified in its Terms of Reference, is to harmonize A-CDM rules and processes globally, through the development of policies and strategies
  • Ultimately, this will reduce complexity from the business and deliver efficiency and delay reductions
  • The group will also ensure that A-CDM systems work for airlines, airports and the network
  • The group acts as a single voice, to lead and collaborate – driving education and transparency amongst the various global A-CDM partners

Composition and Meetings

The AACG was formed in December 2015, and first met in January 2016. The group comprises 11 airlines (European, Global and Low Cost).

The group is supported by IATA, meets at least twice a year, and conducts monthly teleconferences.

Within the group there is a unique collection of experience and expertise, which has been assembled to contribute to its goals for A-CDM.
