Aviation as a Strategic Enabler: Connecting Economies, Empowering People, Transforming Nations
As governments across Latin America and the Caribbean seek new pathways to economic growth and social progress, aviation is increasingly recognized as a strategic enabler of national development.
Hosted in El Salvador, a country that has demonstrated how aviation, tourism, investment and infrastructure can work together to drive transformation, IATA Wings of Change Americas (WOCA) 2027 will bring together government authorities, regulators, airline CEOs, airports, manufacturers and global thought leaders to explore how connectivity can accelerate economic prosperity, strengthen regional integration and improve the lives of communities throughout the Americas.
Through high-level discussions, CEO fireside chats and thought-provoking keynote presentations, delegates will examine the policies, investments and innovations required to maximize aviation's contribution to growth, trade, tourism, jobs and competitiveness.
The IATA Wings of Change Americas (WOCA) is a flagship industry event in the region where aviation leaders, regulators, and subject matter experts come together to discuss air transport’s top issues and opportunities, and jointly agree on future actions to better utilize air transport as an engine of economic and social development across the Americas region.
The 2026 edition of WOCA took place on 8-9 April, in Santiago, Chile, with plenary sessions, 1:1 interviews, and insightful keynotes, tackling technology & innovation, operations, sustainability, distribution, and other industry priorities.
