Airport Handling Manual (AHM)
The AHM is a comprehensive resource that encompasses all industry-endorsed policies and standards crucial for ensuring safe and efficient ground operations, both above and below the wing. It addresses a wide range of aspects, including load control, cargo and passenger management, aircraft handling techniques, and the off-airport management of cargo using Unit Load Devices (ULDs). The manual also outlines management and safety protocols, functional requirements for Ground Support Equipment (GSE), operational and training guidelines for GSE, environmental protocols for ground operations, and the application of the Ground Operations Training Program. Additionally, it provides maintenance guidelines and standard interpretations of ground handling agreements, notably the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement.
