One national campaign that is already looking to raise awareness of the challenge of airspace modernization is 'The Sky's the Limit'. This is being run by the UK airspace provider, NATS, with the support of key industry stakeholders in the UK, including IATA.
In the run-up to Christmas, 'The Sky's the Limit' have put together a video to warn that more than a million flights could be delayed by more than 30 minutes by 2030 if the UK does not modernize its airspace soon. They also point out the noise benefits that could follow for local communities once airspace routes have been redesigned and optimized.
