Montreal - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that the upcoming Safety and Flight Operations Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan has been postponed due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19).

This decision was made after careful consideration based on the business realities of managing COVID-19 across the industry.

Since the first announced outbreak of COVID-19, IATA has been monitoring the situation, working daily with local and international authorities. We have also been following the World Health Organization’s guidelines. However, there has been an increase in the number of participant cancelations for reasons including company travel bans and senior delegates needing to stay close to base during the crisis.

Further information will follow in the coming days regarding delegate, sponsor and exhibitor situations and consequential actions that need to be taken.
