IATA's First Regulatory AI Assistant

As AI continues to transform how industries operate, IATA is helping aviation explore its opportunities while ensuring alignment with global standards and collaboration. That's why we are launching the IATA Cargo Regulations Advisor.

The IATA Cargo Regulations Advisor is the AI-powered digital assistant for IATA standards and regulations. It helps users ask questions in plain language and get a clear, precise and referenced response. Instead of searching manually through long regulation sections, users can simply ask what they need to know, review the answer, and open the cited section for confirmation.

Starting with Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and IATA Cargo Handling Manual (ICHM), the Advisor is built to support cargo, safety, compliance, training, and operational teams in accessing the information they need faster, while relying on the official IATA source as the final reference.

How does the Advisor work?

The IATA Cargo Regulations Advisor acts as a guided entry point to your IATA digital manuals. You ask a question, and the Advisor searches the relevant content available to you, returning a clear answer with source references so you can easily check the official section.

If you don't yet have access to a required regulation, the Advisor can direct you to the appropriate access path or provide a limited experience, depending on the product setup.

Find your answer in 5 simple steps:

  1. Sign in: Use the email linked to your IATA digital manual access.
  2. Ask your question: Type your question in plain language.
  3. The Advisor retrieves relevant IATA source content: The Advisor looks for the information in the digital manual available to your account.
  4. Review the answer: Read the answer and check the source references.
  5. Open the cited section:  Go to the relevant IATA manual section when you need to confirm the details.
