Under the theme “Reshape Airline Resilience”, the 8th World Financial Symposium is undoubtedly looking ahead, going full throttle to support the industry to achieve a successful and sustainable recovery.
One of the lessons learned is that long-term sustainability can only be achieved with a necessary industry change that entails airlines to become true retailers. But what does it mean for the world of airline finance?
This year, we will have a dedicated track focusing on Airline Retailing. The sessions will explore the different aspects of Airline Retailing and will look at its impact on the airline financial processes when legacy artifacts such as Electronic Tickets (ETs) or classic Passenger Name Records (PNRs) will disappear, and when Offers and Orders will drive these financial processes.
It will also address how IATA is supporting the industry on this transformation journey thanks to IATA’s financial services transformation strategy that envisions a world of Airline Retailing and 100% Offers and Orders.
