Servicing in modern retailing – dispelling the myths and embracing the opportunities
The role of the IATA Airline Retailing Consortium is to help accelerate the transition to a world of 100% Offers and Orders as this is the only way to achieve true customer centricity.
A critical step in this massive transformation is the move away from today’s legacy artifacts, such as PNRs, E-tickets and EMDs. Ultimately, for example, this will enable fully automated servicing, much more customer friendly than in today’s world of EDIFACT.
The objective of this episode of our webinar series "Modern Airline Retailing - the Tangibles" is to look at how an airline and a TMC are working together, embracing new technology and capabilities, for the benefit of the customer. We will look at how servicing can be deployed in an efficient way, even in a world of NDC fulfilled with legacy artefacts while also providing a reality check on the enhancements that are yet to take place as the industry transitions to a system of 100% Offers and Orders.
