IATA successfully hosted ONE Record and Special Cargo Workshops in Vietnam on 1 July in Ho Chi Minh City and 3 July in Hanoi, attracting approximately 90 and 60 delegates, respectively. The events were co-organized with Vietnam Airlines and the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), with sponsorship support from Cargo Community Network (CCN) and IBS Software.
The workshops provided participants with practical insights into ONE Record adoption, opportunities to collaborate on pilot projects, and an overview of IATA Special Cargo standards, best practices, and the CEIV certification program. The events also served as valuable networking platforms, connecting industry stakeholders involved in Vietnam’s air cargo digitalization journey.
Key topics included:
- Introduction to the ONE Record standard, its benefits, and its role in supporting Vietnam's digital transformation
- Comparison of the capabilities of CIMP, Cargo-XML, and ONE Record
- Industry use cases and implementation experiences with ONE Record
- Expert perspectives on transitioning to ONE Record, including IT infrastructure requirements and future data exchange models
- Overview of IATA Special Cargo standards and best practices
- Introduction to the IATA CEIV certification programs
- Customer experiences and lessons learned from their CEIV certification journey
Building on the strong interest and engagement from participants, IATA plans to continue promoting ONE Record adoption by organizing similar workshops across other key Asia-Pacific markets in the coming years.
