The Ground Operation XML Messaging toolkit (GOXML) is accessible to customers who obtain the latest edition of the Airport Handling Manual (AHM) digital version in the IATA e-pub library, driving development of digital messages, supporting aviation stakeholders in moving towards digitalization of ground operations. By implementing XML messages, the organization will benefit from aspects including reducing the cost of message development, transmission and maintenance as well as facilitating direct exchange of data.

The toolkit is divided in sections where different resources are available for download.

XML Schemas

This section includes XML messages which are compatible with industry standards:

  • X565 : Aircraft Semi-Permanent Data Exchange
  • XTST: Time Stamps Turn Around
  • XUWS: Unit weight Signal
  • XLTD : Load and Trim Sheet
  • XOAR: Operational Aircraft Registration
  • XUWS: Unit Weight Signal
  • XBIX : Baggage Information Exchange
  • X570 :Check-in and Load Control Data Exchange
  • XADIX : Aviation Information data exchange

Toolbox / Resources

This section includes useful tools to support implementation of the digital standards:

AHM 565 XML Editor

The X565 Editor is a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet application which facilitates the viewing and modification of IATA X565 XML datafiles used for the automated exchange of DCS data between aircraft manufacturers, airlines and DCS providers. The editor includes an embedded function that allows the user to create a new X565 XML file which includes any modifications made whilst viewing the data in the spreadsheets of the Aircraft Semi Permanent Data Exchange.

X565 Editor User Guide

A comprehensive user guide for the Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet application that facilitates the viewing and modification of X565 XML datafiles used for the automated exchange of DCS data between aircraft manufacturers, airlines and DCS providers.

X565 Aircraft semi-permanent data exchange implementation guidelines

This tool provides a high‐level description of the XML data structure and is intended to provide implementation guidelines for software vendors intending to develop applications for the creation or receiving of IATA standardised digital weight & balance data.

XBIX  Baggage Information exchange implementation guidelines

This tool provides a description of the baggage handling overview, the baggage system use cases and processes, the baggage system functions and events, the XML data structure and the architecture components and detailed use cases for schema implementation and messaging protocols.

XADIX Aviation Information data exchange guidelines

This tool is designed to help users to communicate on an airport wide basis through standard messaging implemented according to the Technical Standard for AIDX in the Aviation Industry.
