Laurent Delarue, Director, Consulting and Certifications

Laurent heads the Global IATA Consulting and Certifications operations. He brings over 25 years of strategy, due diligences, privatization, marketing, route development, traffic forecasts, and commercial development experience across commercial aviation, travel and transportation practice. Before joining IATA, he worked with a tier-1 strategy consulting firm. 

Laurent holds a Master's degree in Aviation and Aerospace, and an Advanced Certificate in Economics and Finance from École Nationale Supérieure de L'Aéronautique et de l'Espace, France. 

Yaniv Sorany, Principal IATA Certification

Yaniv heads the global IATA Certification line of business. He brings 20 years of experience in the management of assessment, auding and certification programs in the area of air transport's operation, safety, security, environment and sustainability, with a proven track record in helping companies to mitigate risks, improve efficiency and compliance, ensure best practices, and development of sustainable solution. Notably, he was the product lead for the faculty of cargo and logistics studies, and end-to-end learning transformation, at IATA Training.

Highly culturally sensitive, cool and calm in the face of complexity and in challenging environments, Yaniv’s priority is to understand his customer’s needs and match them with optimized solutions. He believes in building trust through transparency and a deep understanding of his customer’s concerns and motivations.

Nadia Belkebir, Product Manager, Operations, Safety & Security

With a career spanning over a decade in the air transport industry, Nadia has amassed a wealth of experience and expertise. Her journey began 12 years ago and has since seen her hold various positions at the IATA. Over the years, she has honed her skills in a capacity-building program that provides bespoke consultancy solutions to regulators and air cargo stakeholders in cross-border trade, encompassing areas such as security, customs, and trade facilitation.

Nadia’s credentials extend beyond her extensive experience. She is a certified Project Manager, a title she has earned through managing numerous consultancy projects. These projects were aimed at assisting regulators and air cargo stakeholders in enhancing their cargo security regulatory framework and optimizing their security operations, all while implementing secure supply chain programs.

In her commitment to delivering excellence in project management, Nadia is unwavering. Her dedication to her customers is evident in her efforts to help them establish baseline standards designed to improve the competency of their personnel and fulfill their safety obligations. Nadia’s dedication to her work and her clients is a testament to her professionalism and her passion for the air transport industry.

Nadia graduated from the Université de Lyon (FR) and the University of Missouri (USA), with a Master in Business Administration with a major in international business and communication.

Onur Unat, Product Manager, Training & Development

An accomplished training and development expert, with 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, working on projects related to training, safety and compliance, Onur holds a PhD in Educational Sciences. This has given him a deep understanding of educational theories, and the implementation of training and assessment methodologies. His additional Executive Coaching Diploma enables him to effectively guide and mentor individuals and teams.

Onur is a dedicated professional, who is passionate about making a positive impact on the aviation industry. Committed to helping his clients meet the highest standards of safety and compliance in their training and assessment programs, he applies his extensive experience managing projects, stakeholders and technology integration, to enabling organizations to implement a competency-based training and assessment approach for dangerous goods.

Oscar Leon, Product Manager, Environment & Sustainability

With a dual bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations, and an M.A in Standardization and Sustainable Development, Oscar has held different positions at IATA for the past 10+ years, excelling in areas such as training, operations, product management and product strategy. He is now in charge of the development and operations of Certifications devoted to improving the environmental and sustainability performance of the industry.

A well-rounded professional, Oscar combines his professional and academic experience to bring value to the industry. Driven to do his part in effecting change for the good of the planet, he works with aviation supply chain stakeholders to tackle their environmental performance, and enable them to contribute to moving the industry forward.

Thierry Leger-Parizeault, Assistant Manager, Special Cargo

With a master’s degree in international politics from Peking University in China, Thierry has joined IATA Consulting in 2018 and has provided guidance and operational support on many high-impact projects benefiting the aviation industry. As part of his role with the IATA Certification Team, he is managing the Special Cargo Portfolio with the aim to ensure that airlines, freight forwarders and other stakeholders in the transportation industry achieve operational readiness and excellence in the handling and transportation of special cargo.

As a solutions-driven and team-player individual with experience in working in an international environment, Thierry brings a customer centric approach that fosters the development of the relationship between the organizations seeking the certification and the leader of the aviation industry that is IATA.

Mateusz Zawadzki, Product Manager, Special Cargo Certification

Mateusz is a professional respected for his experience in special cargo supply chain management, bolstered by a master's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. In his previous roles, he managed special cargo operations and fostered key account management. Mateusz's prior experience showcased exemplary proficiency in driving impactful product strategy for specialized product units. The skill set he possesses also to encompass complex air freight problem-solving and risk analysis. Mateusz's proven track record in customer service and special cargo operations renders him a valuable asset in any project environment.

 Aleta Essenbaeva, Assistant Manager, Operations & Administration

Having managed many complex projects, programs and portfolios, Aleta brings with her 10 years of professional experience in project management. She is responsible for developing and maintaining end-to-end operational processes, procedures and quality controls for certification products and services.

Using proven methodologies and broad industry knowledge, Aleta works closely with Certification Product Managers to improve project execution, support assessment, audits, and certification delivery, ensuring a high-quality level of service. Aleta's main values include commitment, quality, and expertise to deliver superior performance while contributing to customer satisfaction.
