Even in 2023, a time when demand is high and yields are improving from previous years, the aviation industry continues to face significant challenges including labor shortages, and the need for fuel efficiency have become top priorities for airlines. To navigate these issues, airlines require robust strategies, and IATA’s Airline Cost Management Group (ACMG) can support an airline’s individual decision making.
In response to labor shortages, airlines can leverage the ACMG platform to uncover relevant data that can help identify effective workforce management strategies, assist in reducing operational costs and improving productivity.
By participating in the ACMG, airlines gain access to a comprehensive set of operational benchmark analysis including aircraft type cost and performance analysis. ACMG resources are built with information provided directly from participating carriers and it provides valuable insights, allowing airlines to compare their performance against industry standards and peer airlines (subject to customary legal safeguards).
