Data Science for Decision Making in Aviation

Today, aviation companies are recognizing the importance of data to drive efficiency, cost savings and productivity. This course takes you through the process of using data analytics to identify your business priority, determining the correct analytical tools to address the priority, using visual analytics tools to arrive at optimum decisions, and finally, building easy-to-understand reports to present the data and gain support for the decisions. Equipped with hands-on exercises, you will practice dashboarding, visualization techniques and report generation.

Course format

• This classroom course provides 3 days (24 hours) of instruction delivered by an official IATA Instructor.
• Take this course at an IATA Training Center, Regional Training Partner, or on-demand as in-house training.
• Student performance will be based on an assessment.

Prerequisites

• Participants should have at least 3 years of work experience in the aviation industry or 2 years in handling large number of data to provide business decisions.
• Recommended level is Intermediate.
• The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 for courses in English or the equivalent level for other languages.
