IATA Aviation Energy Forum, New Delhi, 15-17 November 2022

The Forum is a unique platform allowing airline representatives, fuel and SAF suppliers, other IATA Strategic Partners, and key decision makers to discuss the industry's priorities and challenges, as well as understand the airline’s commitment to delivering on the net zero 2050 pledge will mean.

The Forum is focusing on SAF & new energy options, technical and commercial aspects of conventional jet fuel and SAF, as well as the current challenges around the fuel supply chain and digitalization. There will also be joint sessions with exciting keynote speeches, reports on the state of the airline industry, and other topics of general interest.

For the first time in nearly two decades, the event is returning to India, a country and region with huge growth potential for the aviation industry and with a fuel infrastructure of global relevance. In this region, many of the measures to decarbonize aviation will have a huge impact on the global ambition to reach net zero.

Update of Aviation Fuel Supply Model Agreement to incorporate SAF supply and procurement

To address the increasing number of supply contracts for Sustainable Aviation Fuel in the industry, an airline task group has started work on updating the existing Aviation Fuel Supply Model Agreement to incorporate the aspect of SAF supply and procurement.  The updated model agreement aims to cater to the supply and procurement of SAF that is blended with conventional aviation fuel.  A draft is expected to be ready in September 2022 a select number of SAF suppliers will be contacted to provide their comments and inputs before the updated model agreement is finalized.
