IATA Welcomes Australia’s Announcement of Quarantine-free Travel for Singapore Citizens

IATA Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific, Philip Goh applauded Australia's latest development on border reopening:

"Today’s announcement by Australia is yet another step forward to a new normal.  Australia’s opening for quarantine free travel to Singapore citizens, regardless of purpose of travel, sends a loud and clear message that Australia is pressing ahead with her plans to reopen her borders

We are excited by this positive development and we look forward to further easing of border restrictions by Australia and other countries in the region.  It will provide the needed boost for the recovery of the aviation industry and air travel sector."
