A space for airlines to connect, share use cases, and stay informed on AI developments in aviation. Open to IATA member airline professionals only.

What is the AI Network for Airlines?

The AI Network for Airlines is a knowledge-sharing community hosted by IATA, open to data and AI professionals from member airlines. It offers a space to share use cases, exchange insights, and provide feedback on evolving operational needs.

Calls take place quarterly and include webinars, virtual meetups, practical trainings, and moderated discussions. An annual event linked to the World Data Symposium is also foreseen. The network will be regularly updated through a newsletter.

This roadmap outlines the key milestones for launching and growing the AI Network for Airlines. Starting with community seeding and pilot activities in September 2025, we’ll host regular calls and events, including an in-person meeting at the IATA World Data Symposium in April 2026. The roadmap will evolve as the community grows and new opportunities emerge.

Who can join?
The network is open exclusively to data and AI professionals directly employed by IATA member airlines.

How it works

The community offers three levels of membership:

  • Champion: One lead per airline, acting as main contact and strategic voice
  • Associate: Data and AI professionals who wish to actively participate in discussions, events and knowledge sharing
  • Observer: Any airline staff interested in following activities and receiving updates without active involvement

There is no cap on total membership, but participation in in-person events may be limited.
