Paving the way for the new Modern Airline Retailing program

Following the World Financial Symposium, which examined, for the first time, payment as a key pillar of airline retailing, the World Passenger Symposium – WPS (1-3 November, Manama, Bahrain) gathered over 600 industry professionals under the theme “Unlocking Value Creation by Putting the Customer First”.
Comprised of three specialized tracks - Retailing & Payment, Airport & Passenger Experience, and Accessibility - it introduced the customer as the driver for change and key to value creation for the industry.

The Airline Retailing & Payment track was well attended and introduced the industry ambition of Modern Airline Retailing, supported by an ecosystem of Offers and Orders only.
It also provided a deep dive into the industry transformation roadmap and explored the levels of advancement on all key retailing transformation areas of focus – from dynamic offers and personalization to payment agility and ways of optimal and cost-effective delivery.
