On June 10-12 in Guangzhou, 255 delegates gathered for the North Asia & Guangzhou International Air Cargo Hub High-Quality Development Conference. It was held jointly by Guangdong Airport Authority(GAA), China Southern Airlines and IATA. Regulators, airlines, airports, freight forwards, ground service providers, shippers and IT service providers attended the Cargo Day.
As mentioned by Xingquan (Max) Xie in his opening remarks: "Air cargo is not only facing the pressure of digital transformation, but also needs to cope with multiple challenges such as geopolitics and trade frictions, while meeting increasingly stringent regulatory requirements. Therefore, promoting the implementation of the ONE Record, a data sharing standards, is particularly critical."
The regional cargo event was supported by IATA Cargo experts on Digital Cargo, Cargo Operations and E-Commerce, Cargo Border Management, Cargo Safety and Dangerous Goods.
The latest regulatory updates and local best practices have been shared, and positive feedback from the audience was received.
