This self-study course provides an introduction to the basic principles, strategies and goals of airline revenue management. Several topics address what could be considered the core of airline revenue management theory and practice and at the end this e-learning experience should enhance your job performance but also your ability to support your work team, your organization and ultimately your customers. What is revenue management and why is it needed in the airline industry of today and tomorrow? As competition and various economic pressures increase, all airlines, full service and low cost carriers alike, need to maximize their revenue in order to succeed and grow. With a main focus on providing quality service as profitable as possible, airlines must ensure they have the right people with the right skills in the right places. As the industry evolves, revenue management is also adapting and to achieve sustained profitability airlines will need a more intelligent form of revenue management, one that can effectively manage ever-greater levels of complexity. This is a challenge and an opportunity at the same time.

  • This is a partner-taught or self-study course, which will take you approximately 45 hours to complete, depending on your previous knowledge and experience.
  • The course materials are provided in e-book or printed format. Please choose the format when you register.
  • You will have 12 months to complete the course and exam (enrollment validity), which starts from the date you purchase the course.
  • The recommended level for this course is Entry-level and Intermediate.
  • Performance will be based on an examination. Please refer to the Exam Information below for more details.

Please note: Once you have completed the exam you will no longer have access to the course material, and after the 12-month enrollment validity expires you will no longer have access to the course content, nor will you be able to take the exam.
