For guidance on visa requirements and additional information regarding the appropriate visa type, delegates are advised to consult the IATA Travel Centre. If your nationality necessitates the standard visa process, please provide your passport details as part of the registration process. We will provide you with the visa invitation letter once your registration has been validated.
Exclusive Rates for Hotel Rooms in Guangzhou
For the convenience and comfort of our attendees, we have negotiated preferential room rates at the event's official venue, Four Seasons Guangzhou, but also at a nearby hotel within walking distance from the hotel venue, Park Hyatt Guangzhou.
Rates in each hotel start as of CNY 1,860 (about USD 276) depending on room category, including breakfast and local taxes (16,6%).
For the ease of your journey, if your flight is scheduled to arrive very early in the morning, we recommend booking accommodation for the night prior to your arrival. This will ensure that your room is available upon arrival at the hotel, as hotels are generally unable to guarantee early check-in.

Before your travel
IATA is providing a visa invitation letter but cannot guarantee your visa issuance. In case you need it, answer “Yes" to the visa letter question during your registration: you will have to enter all the requested details for the letter to be generated. Note that it is mandatory to be fully registered to the Aviation energy Forum (AEF) to get it. Please ensure you check your visa requirements as soon as possible to prevent any delay in your visa application.

Arrival to Guangzhou
Getting from the airport to the venue
The IATA Aviation Energy Forum 2026 (AEF) will be held at the the Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou, located in Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe District, within the Guangzhou International Finance Center (IFC).
Baiyun International Airport (CAN)
- Please check your arrival terminal and follow the airport's current transport signage, as airport transport arrangements differ by terminal.
- By Taxi: From the Baiyun Airport to the venue, Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou, it is a journey of around 45 minutes, depending on the traffic.
- Ride-hailing services (DiDi, Amap and Baidu Maps) are also available. Please refer to the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport website for information on designated pick-up and drop-off points.
- By metro: Guangzhou’s metro provides a public transport connection between the airport and the venue. It is a journey of 55 minutes. After one easy train change, you can get off at the Zhujiang New Town station, which connects underground to Guangzhou IFC and the Hotel.

Getting around the city
- In Guangzhou, you can move around the city using different means of transportation.
- Taxis can be hailed or found at designated taxi stands. Having your destination written in Chinese is recommended.
- There are ride-hailing services that operate in Guangzhou, such as DiDi, Amap and Baidu Maps.
- Guangzhou has an extensive public transportation network, including the metro and buses. Guangzhou Metro provides information on metro lines, stations and the network map. View and download the Metro System Map on the Guangzhou Government website.

In November, Guangzhou generally has pleasant and relatively dry weather, with average daytime temperatures around 25–26°C (77–79°F) and nighttime temperatures around 16–18°C (61–64°F).
Power plug
In Guangzhou, you might require the Universal Travel adapter or adaptors Type A, Type C and Type I. The frequency is of 50 Hz and it operates on a 220 V supply voltage.

- DiDi (App Store/Google Play): Useful for booking ride-hailing services.
- AMap Global (Gaode Maps) (App Store/Google Play): Recommended for maps, navigation and public transport information in Guangzhou. AMap Global supports English and is designed to be more accessible to international travellers.
- Guangzhou Metro App: this public transport app, contains view real/time schedules, offers the possibility to buy tickets or allows you to personalize the journey.
- Apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, YouTube, and Telegram are blocked, but you can easily stay connected using WeChat, QQ, or DingTalk.
Smoking regulations
Smoking is prohibited in designated smoke-free public places in Guangzhou, including certain indoor public areas and public transportation. Please observe all “No Smoking” signs and only smoke in designated smoking areas where permitted.
While at the event
- Dress code: The dress code for the event is business casual.
- Wi-Fi: There is Wi-Fi available in the venue.
- Event app: The app of the event will be available in English and in Chinese towards the end of October, displaying more information such as the floor plan and the registration on-site opening hours. Please login in with the same name and email address used during the registration process.
- Translation: A translation tool will be available on-site, allowing you to follow the conference in English or Chinese via audio or transcription on your mobile phone. If you prefer to follow the translation via audio, please remember to bring your mobile phone headset.
- Other: Tap water isn't safe to drink in Guangzhou. Please remember to drink bottled water instead.
