Airport Handling Manual

The IATA 2025 Airport Handling Manual (AHM) introduces comprehensive updates created to enhance airport operations, safety, and efficiency. This edition includes new guidelines for Contactless Travel and Digitalization of Admissibility, promoting seamless and secure travel experiences. Updated policies now address the handling of Unruly Passengers and Travel Document Checks, as well as Mail safety guidelines, interactive cargo handling, and transporting engines. 

Significant changes to Load Control include a new four-step process for DCS system and data approval, while the Notification to Captain (NOTOC) section has been moved and revised to meet regulatory standards. The Emergency and Crisis Management section now references ICAO guidelines and updated ERP terminologies and checklists. Additionally, the Environmental Management guidelines have been revised to include IATA’s Environmental Assessment (IENVA) program. 

The Ground Operations Training section also features an updated implementation plan for the IATA Training Passport. The digital version includes a bonus "Ground Operations XML Messaging Toolkit" and other useful tools.
