About the course

2-day (16 hours) classroom course

IATA Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) - building a long-term sustainable aviation industry aviation training course

As the ICAO Long-Term Aspirational Goal of reaching a Net Zero aviation industry by 2050 is approved, and the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is critical to achieving the goal, the industry is now turned to an implementation phase in which production and uptake of sustainable aviation fuel is the main focus. IATA’s Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) - building a long-term sustainable aviation industry course will give you an overview of the various SAF pathways, and equip you with a holistic view of how to adopt a multi-stakeholder SAF production policy. This approach ensures that the industry meets its decarbonization objective, and that SAF production is used as a means to mitigate other region-specific environmental externalities, therefore benefiting the wider economy and environment and attracting support from multiple stakeholders. Learn how to implement tailored SAF solutions when enabled by effective policies and adapted to regional needs.
