The Security Management System (SeMS) is the element of corporate management responsibility that sets out a company's security policies and its intent to manage security as an integral part of its overall business. Once implemented, a SeMS becomes woven into the fabric of the organization and becomes part of its culture, enhancing the main pillars of SeMS within your organization: Accountability, Assurance, Culture and Support. Discover the key elements of IATA’s SeMS initiative and its implementation strategies to elevate your organization beyond regulatory compliance, strengthening overall security through continuous monitoring, improvement, and enhanced cooperation and communication. This course provides a structured approach to security process implementation in accordance with IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) requirements. In daily classroom exercises, you will begin building a performance-based SeMS that produces measurable and auditable results.

Visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travelers with a valid visa. Do you need an eTA? Apply for your eTA (a CAD 7 fee applies). Please note that travelers or if you are booking for someone else, are responsible to request their visas through varying designated channels (consulates and/ or third party companies) in due time.
Discounts
A regional course fee (15% discount) is applied to course participants residing in Canada who attend classes at the Montreal Training Center. IATA is constantly striving to make aviation training as accessible as possible, and so we have collaborated with the Professional Training and Examination Refund Scheme (ProTERS), which offers refunds for approved courses/exams taken from July 2023 to June 2026.
