Accessing the Brussels Training Center

  • By public transport: Take the Airport Line Bus 12 (€7.90, direct service) or a train to Bruxelles-Luxembourg/Brussel-Luxemburg (€2–€10, 18–30 minutes), then continue with a short walk or metro ride to Trône. 
  • By taxi: Taxis are available outside the Arrivals terminals. The journey to the IATA office takes approximately 23–40 minutes, depending on traffic, with an estimated fare of €45.

The Brussels Training Centre is located in the IATA office in Trone 60, 1050, in Brussels.

Brussels has an extensive public transport network operated by STIB/MIVB, including metro, tram, and bus services. Tickets and travel cards can be purchased at all metro stations, ticket machines, and selected retail outlets.

  • Contactless Payment
    The easiest way to travel is with a contactless bank card or mobile payment device. Simply tap in and out on public transport.
    • Single journey: €2.30 (valid for 60 minutes)
    • Daily fare cap: €8.40

About the Brussels Training Center

  • Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the IATA Training Centre. Please contact an IATA staff member to obtain the network name and access credentials.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that their laptops are configured for wireless internet access. Please note that IATA IT staff cannot provide technical support for personal devices.
  • Please bring any necessary power cables and plug adapters for Belgian electrical outlets, as these are not provided at the Training Center. If required, adapters can be purchased at the airport.
  • Business casual attire is recommended for all classroom-based training courses.

Smoking

  • Smoking is not permitted inside the IATA office building. Please use designated outdoor smoking areas where available.

Travel Arrangements

  • Participants are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents, including visas, health certificates, and travel insurance, before attending the course.

Fire alarm (IATA building)

If you hear an alarm.

  • Leave the building immediately through the nearest available exit
  • Take only personal belongings with you
  • Do not use the elevators
  • Follow the instructions of the evacuation team
  • Follow the evacuation team to the Assembly Point
  • For any questions or assistance, please raise a ticket through the IATA Customer Portal. Our support team will review your request and get back to you as soon as possible.

Visa & Payment

For information on visa requirements and application status, please visit the Follow up a visa application | Belgian Immigration Office (IBZ).

If the Belgian Embassy or Consulate requires an invitation letter from IATA to support your visa application, please contact the training coordinator assigned to your course.

Please note that invitation letters can only be issued once the course fees have been paid in full.

Complete payment must be received prior to the beginning of the course. Please note that IATA does NOT accept CASH payments. Credit card, bank transfer and Clearing House payments are welcome.

Banking and currency exchange services are available at Brussels Airport for your convenience.

  • Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are located throughout all airport terminals.
  • Foreign exchange services are available in Terminal 1.

Hotels & Leisure

Hotel Reservations

You are responsible for making your reservation directly with the hotel. It is highly recommended that you make your hotel reservation at least 3 weeks prior to the course start date.

To make a reservation, please see your confirmation email for further details. The hotel will then confirm the booking to you by e-mail.

Payment for the room, tax and incidentals is the responsibility of the participant. Please note that IATA cannot accept any responsibility for your liability to the hotel.

In case of an emergency, please contact the following numbers. You can contact these numbers for free from any public telephone booth:
