Accessing the Miami Training Center
Flying to Miami
To reach Miami by plane, you will typically fly into Miami International Airport (MIA), where you are welcomed by a spectacular view of the city's coastline during descent. Once landed, you can easily navigate through the airport's modern facilities and efficient transportation options to begin their Miami adventure.

Transportation from the Airport
The IATA Miami Training Center does not provide ground transportation; however, you may use the following options:
- Hotel shuttles are provided by each IATA-recommended hotel, with a free shuttle service, to the IATA office for IATA participants. Shuttles are available each morning before class and each afternoon after class. Upon your arrival at MIA, go to the Departures level of the airport and follow the sign to the “Hotel Shuttle” area. Hotel shuttles run every 30 minutes.
- Taxi Service fares are by meter for all locations.
Please note that we do have parking available on site, however there is a daily charge for parking.
Training Center Location
The IATA Miami Training Center is located in the IATA Regional Office for the Americas building. Our warm and friendly staff can assist you in both English and Spanish and will be happy to provide you with a wide range of useful information throughout your stay.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00.

About the Miami Training Center
Reception & Security
- Reception
Upon your arrival, you will be given an IATA Training participant badge by the IATA Receptionist, located on the 6th floor, Suite 600 of the IATA building where you will be directed to the training rooms. Please keep this badge with you all the time and kindly return it at the end of your stay. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 18:00. - Security clearance at the Training Center
Please note that you will be required to provide photo identification (i.e., Driver’s License, National ID Card or Passport) in exchange for an IATA Training participant badge for the duration of your training. - Business center
Please bring your laptop to your course to access your course material, and don’t forget to pack your laptop cables and adaptors to connect to the US plugs as we are unable to provide them.
Complementary wireless internet access is available on the 6th floor of the IATA Training Center. Please ensure that your laptop is properly configured for Wi-Fi access, as the IATA IT staff cannot provide support on external laptops.
There is a public telephone available in the reception area. You may make free calls to local and toll-free numbers (1-800 numbers). To make long distance calls, you will need a phone card, which can be purchased at the Publix supermarket nearby.
Dress Code & Luggage

- Business casual attire is recommended.
- As the training rooms are air-conditioned, we suggest bringing a jacket or sweater for your comfort.
Personal Belongings
- Please keep your personal belongings with you at all times.
- As the premises are shared with other guests, IATA cannot be held responsible for any lost or unattended items.
Luggage Storage
- Luggage may be stored inside the IATA training rooms.
- Please note that all items are left at your own risk, and IATA cannot accept liability for any lost or stolen belongings.
Breaks & Lunch

- Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are available throughout the course.
- If you prefer to bring your own lunch, refrigerated storage is available.
- Café l’Artisan, located in the building next to IATA, is open from 07:30–14:00 and offers salads, soups, sandwiches, hot meals, desserts, and beverages.
Smoking
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the IATA Center.
- Designated smoking areas are available outside the building.
Travel Assistance
- If you need to confirm or modify your travel arrangements, our Training Team can provide airline contact details.
- Please contact the airline directly for any changes or assistance.
Fire Alarm

- Leave the building immediately through the nearest available exit
- Take only personal belongings with you
- Follow the instructions of the evacuation team
- Do not use the elevators

Visa & Payment
Visas and Entry Information
Please ensure that you obtain all required visa, health and insurance documents well in advance of your course.
Visit the US Visa information website for full details. We recommend that you allow a minimum of 4 weeks to process your visa application. Should the US Embassy require an invitation letter from IATA, please contact the training coordinator assigned to your course. Any such letter can only be released by IATA after course fees have been paid in full.

- Hotel booking/confirmation
You are responsible for making your reservation directly with the hotel of your choice. It is highly recommended that you make a changeable hotel reservation at least 3 weeks prior to the course start date.
To make a reservation, complete the registration form provided in your registration confirmation and e-mail it directly to the hotel. The hotel will then confirm the booking by e-mail.
Payment for the room, tax and incidentals is the responsibility of the participant. Please note that IATA cannot accept any responsibility for your liability to the hotel.
