Purpose

Strategic Partners involved in the Accessibility Area of Involvement will play a role in supporting the creation of policies, standards and processes that can help design safe, dignified and innovative travel journey for passenger with disabilities, in collaboration with IATA and its member airlines.

Activities

Accessibility Working Group (ACCWG)

Strategic Partners will be invited to attend the ACCWG as well as additional task forces, ad-hoc webinars and action groups with the aim to create solutions to develop and align regulatory requirements, policy, processes and standards across all stakeholders' environments concerning the entire end-to-end passenger journey.

The ACCWG meets twice a year, in concurrence with selected IATA Events, for Strategic Partners to get acquainted with the overall IATA strategy, roadmap and work plan.

CEWG and Accessibility Working Group Joint Task Force

The CEWG and Accessibility Working Group Joint Task Force aims to update the existing and/or develop new accessibility standards relating to the passenger process. Launched in April 2025, the TF will first review the current Resolution 700 Acceptance and Carriage of Passengers with Disabilities Requiring Assistance.
