The importance of making progress toward a sustainable aviation future has never been greater. Nonetheless, the challenges for the air transport value chain surrounding the transition are not dissipating: Additional costs remain a significant burden, policies risk becoming increasingly fragmented, and progress toward finding and developing solutions remains more gradual than we would all prefer.
Against this backdrop, the third IATA WSS will take place in Hong Kong on 21-22 October. With the provocative tagline of Facilitate, Accelerate, Transform, the event will focus on showcasing real-world, practical solutions to the plethora of challenges facing the industry’s sustainability transition.
The WSS is the only IATA event dedicated to sustainability and, for the first time, this year’s event will cover a full two days. Our aim is to keep the WSS current – discussing from a practical perspective recent developments, emerging issues and tangible solutions. The agenda this year includes:

In conjunction with the main event of WSS, IATA offers an exclusive session to present the IATA Integrated Sustainability Program (ISP) with opportunities to learn from the ISP pioneering organizations about IATA's aviation sustainability framework. This session will also provide insights into the dynamic solutions from selected Sustainability IATA Strategic Partners, as they present innovative approaches to aviation sustainability.
