Visa Requirements
For guidance on visa requirements and additional information regarding the appropriate visa type, delegates are advised to consult the IATA Travel Centre. If your nationality necessitates the standard visa process, please provide your passport details as part of the registration process. We will provide you with the visa invitation letter once your registration has been validated.
Before your travel
IATA is providing a visa invitation letter but cannot guarantee your visa issuance. In case you need it, answer “Yes" to the visa letter question during your registration: you will have to enter all the requested details for the letter to be generated. Note that it is mandatory to be fully registered to the Aviation energy Forum (AEF) to get it. Please ensure you check your visa requirements as soon as possible to prevent any delay in your visa application.

Arrival to Paris
Getting from the airport to the venue
The IATA Aviation Energy Forum 2026 (AEF) will be held at the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center.
Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport
- From Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to the venue, Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center, it is a car ride of around one hour.
- Official taxis are only at the terminal exits and can be recognized by their illuminated ‘TAXI’ sign, the average price for the taxi ride from CDG Airport to the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel is EUR 65. More information about the specific pick-up area or the official taxi companies is available on their website.
- Ride hailing options (Uber, Bolt, Freenow, Heetch) are also available, the CDG Airport site shares some tips and the specific drop-off or pick-up point.
- By train, it takes around 40 minutes by taking the RER B, getting off at Denfert-Rochereau and then walking 10 minutes. More information on which is the train station corresponding to the terminal you land can be found on the Airport website. However, this train will experience several works during 2026, hence you might be interested in checking the planned work days and the alternative route.

- The CDG terminals, have changed their names in March, and now they are named from 1 to 7 there is more information available on their website.

Paris-Orly Airport
- From Paris-Orly Airport to the venue, it is a car ride of around 30 minutes.
- Official taxis are at the terminal exits and can be recognized by their illuminated ‘TAXI’ sign, the average price for the taxi ride from Orly Airport to the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel is EUR 36. More information about the specific pick-up area or the official taxi companies is available on their website.
- Ride hailing options (Uber, Bolt, Freenow, Heetch) are also available, the Orly Airport site shares some tips and the specific drop-off or pick-up point.
- There are other public transport options such as the Orlyval, or the Metro 14, that can be combined with other metro lines, the RER B or buses and get you to the venue in less than 40 minutes.

Getting around the city
- In Paris you can move around the city with different means of transportation.
- Taxis can be hailed, called or booked.
- There are hailing ride companies that operate in Paris such as Uber, Bolt, Freenow, Heetch.
- Paris has a wide range of public transportation options, there are trains (RER), the metro, the tramway, buses and, night buses. RATP is the urban transport operator and they collaborate with the Île-de-France Mobilités the organising authority for public transport in the Paris-Île-de-France region.

Smoking regulations
- A decree prohibits, starting April 1, 2026, nicotine pouches (“pouches”), beads, paste, liquids, chewing gum, lozenges, and other oral products containing nicotine.
- Smoking ban concerns closed public places (e.g. cafés and restaurants). Smoking areas are arranged. Smoking is also prohibited in public transport, schools, children's playgrounds and the workplace. Find more information in the French Public Services site.
- Vaping is prohibited in schools and establishments intended for the reception, training and accommodation of minors. The same applies to closed public transport systems, in places where workstations are located, closed and covered for public use. Disposable e-cigarettes are prohibited.
