The role of the Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC) is to provide aviation training to the Caribbean States in the field of air navigation services, and all other areas related to developing aviation safety and security in the region.
The Trinidad & Tobago Civil Aviation Authority (TTCAA) has been forming partnerships with internationally recognized training institutions to offer a wider array of programs for the region.
The CATC is the premier aviation training institution in the region and continues to pursue excellence in aviation training.

The Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC) is located on the Caroni North Bank Road, Piarco. Taxis are the preferred method of transportation to and from the CATC. Taxi information is usually provided at the hotel or at the CATC.

The CATC is equipped with 4 collapsible, configurable classrooms holding 20 students each, with electrical fittings for personal devices, 1 fixed seating Computer-Based Classroom for 25 persons, 2 Simulators, Projectors, whiteboards (multiple in each classroom), Library (print and electronic material), Electronic Examination Centre.
