5-day (40 hours) classroom course
The IATA CBTA for CASIs Standardization course is designed to equip you to perform the approval of Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) programs for flight crew training and to perform the surveillance of the operators and Approved Training Organizations (ATOs) delivering such programs. During this 5-day course, you will develop an adequate level of knowledge of the ICAO’s CBTA principles and learn to identify and recognize pilot and instructor performance. You will also develop expertise in how CBTA programs are developed in compliance with ICAO provisions and IATA best practices.
A key focus will be the application of the Instructional System Design promoted by ICAO, the ADDIE Model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate), and each component of the model will be practiced in depth. By the end of the course, you will be fully prepared to demonstrate your abilities to exercise your duties effectively as a CASI with a strong commitment to CBTA.
