Need Help?

The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Program is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline.

Need Help?

The IOSA audit creates a standard that is comparable on a world-wide basis, enabling and maximizing the joint use of audit reports. This has saved the industry over 6,400 redundant audits and continues to lead to extensive cost-savings for IOSA participating airlines. All IATA members are IOSA registered and must remain registered to maintain IATA membership.

IOSA Webinar

The IOSA Team is hosting a series of webinars in November, dedicated to the IOSA Standards Manual (ISM) Edition 19 which will be effective as of 1 January 2027.

The webinar will include presentations from our Subject Matter Experts from the different disciplines of the ISM. There will also be time for your questions. Please note that the webinars are open for airline employees only and only registration for a company email address will be approved.

All three webinars will include the same content: the three different sessions offer everyone globally a convenient time to join. Please register only for one of the sessions.

Monday 9 November at 08:30-10:30 (EST) - Registration link to Session 1
Tuesday 10 November at 14:00-16:00 (EST) - Registration link to Session 2
Thursday 12 November at 21:00-23:00 (EST) - Registration link to Session 3

IOSA and the Risk-Based Approach

In 2024, IOSA transitioned into a risk-based model, focusing on safety risks, specific to the auditee, rather than applying a "one-size-fits-all" approach. IOSA now delivers an audit scope that will be tailored for each airline. Furthermore, the new approach introduces a maturity assessment of the airline's safety-critical systems and programs.

Our vision is to make IOSA the leading operational safety audit program in an accident-free world
