5-day (40 hours) classroom course

With the variety of increasing threats, security has to be designed smartly and be risk-based driven. Explore the role of human factors in security screening and learn how to utilize behavioral analysis strategies. During this 5 day course, discover the most recent screening methods. Learn how they can enhance your current security and protection strategy. Learn to utilize methodologies such as suspicious signs and indicators in passenger behavior, before even making contact with a passenger to increase efficiency and target high-risk threats.

Course format

• This classroom course provides 5 days (40 hours) of instruction delivered by an official IATA Instructor.
• Take this course at an IATA Training Center, Regional Training Partner, or on-demand as in-house training.
• Student performance will be based on an assessment.

Prerequisites

• Recommended level is Intermediate and Advanced.
• The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 for courses in English or the equivalent level for other languages.

An IATA Certificate of Completion is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 80% or higher on all exercises and exams. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.
