Need Help?

CASSLink is IATA's internet-based data processing and customer management system that facilitates interaction and exchange of information between airlines, freight forwarders and third parties participating in IATA Cargo Accounts Settlement System (CASS).

In order to ensure that CASSLink continues to deliver fast, secure and reliable service to all participants, IATA kicked-off the new CASSLink project, which aim is to modernize the current CASSLink platform to meet today and tomorrow’s CASS operational needs, making it more operationally efficient as well as more user-friendly.

The implementation of the renewed platform will start in February 2023, subject to systems readiness.

CASSLink Last Carrier Billing and Settlement Decomission

Please note that the the Last Carrier Billing and Settlement functionality, and Cash Sales Agent processing and output have already been decommissioned as of 20230901F in the old CASSLink.

To ensure a smooth transition, please note the below important information for your action:

Transaction type:

  • The transactions uploaded from the Delivery Company will not be used to create the invoices for Last Carriers.

Last billing period:

Last billing period for Last Carrier invoice in old CASSLink Import and Terminal Charges was on 20230802F (Japan) 20230801M (United Kingdom)

  • After the Last Carrier decommission, users will still be able to access the old CASSLink for the historical Output reports until 13 November 2023.  After this period, access to the Old CASSLink will be completely switched off.

Rectification of Non-aligned CASS Import Agent Code in the New CASSLink Migration

IATA has recently sent out a communication on 01 August to airlines and agents under CASS Hong Kong operations regarding the rectification of non-aligned CASS Import agent code in the upcoming migration to the new CASSLink platform. The rectification will involve a change of the check digit of the CASS Import agent code.

Training & Resources

The main priority of the IATA team is to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are fully aware of the New CASSLink platform availability and features. To accomplish this objective, IATA  has conducted over 40 training sessions in various languages during the months of August and September, to prepare airline and agent users in Wave 3 Export and Import & Terminal Charges markets, in transitioning to the new platform.

All training resources (tutorial videos, training recordings & slides, FAQs, and user manuals) can be found at the IATA Customer Service Portal.
