This diploma will give you a well-rounded introduction to today’s complex air cargo industry, helping you get a head start in your career at an airline, freight forwarder or ground handling company.

IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations for cargo agents and freight forwarders

Candidates must complete 3 Required courses and 1 Elective course within three years.
A passing mark of 60% is required on all assignments and exams. A special distinction is awarded to candidates who obtain a distinction in all, or all but one, of all course exams and assignments that make up this Diploma.
How to obtain your diploma
- Complete all 3 Required and 1 selected Elective course that make up the Diploma, within 3 years.
- Please contact us on our Customer Portal to request your diploma, stating the title of the diploma you are applying for and the list of courses you completed for that diploma.
- IATA Training will issue your diploma upon verification of your eligibility.

Cargo Supply Chain and Transport Modes course (partner-taught or self-study)
Improve your knowledge regarding supply chain management, logistics and different modes of transport.
Air Cargo Advanced Marketing course (partner-taught or self-study)
This course uses our expertise to provide knowledge on cargo rating principles and Air Waybill completion, as well as basic marketing procedures.
Cargo Introductory course (partner-taught or self-study)
Learn about basic IATA cargo rules and procedures, how freight forwarders and airline cargo units operate, plus much more.
Cargo Security Awareness (partner-taught or self-study)
Build your awareness in air cargo security regulations and the basic principles of security enforcement in the cargo environment.
Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Initial Category 3 with DGR Manual (partner-taught or self-study)
This course fulfills ICAO and IATA training requirements and qualifies you to handle and process dangerous goods for carriage of by air for a 24-month period.
Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Recurrent Category 3 with DGR Manual (partner-taught or self-study)
Completing this course fulfills ICAO and IATA training requirements and extends your qualification to handle and process dangerous goods for an additional 24 months.
Live Animals Regulations (LAR) course (partner-taught or self-study)
Use IATA's Live Animals Regulations manual to ship live animals safely and to comply with industry standards.
