Dear Strategic Partner,
I hope you have managed to get some rest over these last couple of months and to recharge your batteries as we get into the last stretch of another incredible year!
Following the highly-successful IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) that took place in New Delhi, India this past June, I am delighted to share some testimonials delivered by our AGM-level Strategic Partners who spoke about their experiences on the margins of the event. We are already working hard on preparing for the next edition, which is scheduled to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 6-8 June, 2026. Stay tuned!
The IATA Strategic Partnerships Program (SPP) Team continues to deliver value to the community with an exciting fall season ahead. In addition to the list of upcoming SPP activities and IATA events, which are included in our Calendar of Meetings, I would like to draw your attention to the upcoming Annual Airline Industry Economics Advisory Workshop in Geneva (3-4 September), the SAF Registry Corporate Customer Webinar being delivered in collaboration with CADO (24 September), the Cargo Experts Conference in Brussels (24-25 September), the World Safety and Operations Conference in Xiamen (14-16 October), the World Sustainability Symposium in Hong Kong (21-22 October), the Aviation Security Forum in Montréal (5-6 November) and the Aviation Energy Forum in Mexico (18-20 November) just to name a few.
Finally, I would like to draw your attention to a new area of involvement focusing on Payments. Launched just this past month, the area which already includes a handful of SPs, will focus on a range of issues including payment trends, airline pain points and needs, consumer and corporate payments, distribution and payments standards, new product innovations and technologies, digital payments and new emerging payment instruments. I invite you to take a look at the Payments product sheet where you will find its purpose, who it would be designed for and the benefits associated to it.
If you have any questions or require support, I invite you to contact our IATA SPP team at partnership@iata.org.
We look forward to seeing you soon at an upcoming meeting or IATA event!
Sincerely,
Sebastian Tirado
Head – IATA Strategic Partnerships Program
