This year, the IATA Air Cargo Day brought together the air cargo community and regulators in Australia, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Singapore for a series of insightful discussions and networking opportunities. These events served as a platform to strengthen collaboration and exchange ideas that will shape the future of air cargo.
The sessions covered a wide range of topics, including air cargo trends and capacity updates, e-commerce trends, Cargo Accounts Settlement System (CASS), IATA vision of future facilities and ONE Record, battery shipping risks and management, Live Animals & Dangerous Goods regulations update and CEIV programs, Pre-Loading Advance Cargo Information (PLACI) updates, as well as cargo and postal handling standards. Each discussion provided valuable insights into industry developments and emerging challenges.
Hosting Air Cargo Day brings significant benefits. It allows IATA to share global standards and best practices with the industry while gaining a deeper understanding of local community needs and challenges. This two-way dialogue helps us align priorities and deliver solutions that work for all stakeholders. These events also provide an opportunity to showcase IATA products and initiatives that support industry excellence.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue hosting Air Cargo Day in different Asia-Pacific markets next year. These events will further strengthen partnerships and drive innovation across the region as we work together to build a safer, smarter, and more sustainable air cargo ecosystem.
