About the diplomaThe IATA Safety Management in Civil Aviation Diploma is a specialized program designed to equip aviation professionals with the essential skills needed to implement ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and adopt a performance-based, data-driven approach to safety management. Spanning four courses over three years, this diploma allows you to apply strategies from the ICAO Global Aviation Safety Plan and Global Air Navigation Plan to improve both safety and efficiency in air transport operations.
Throughout the program, you will learn how to manage and support Safety Management Systems (SMS), develop and oversee State Safety Programs (SSP), and prepare for audits under ICAO’s Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program.
