IATA Recurrent Aviation Security Training aviation training course

In light of the dynamic reality of security incidents and evolving legislation, both global and national aviation security authorities require continuous refresher training for security staff, trainers and management. This course fulfils the requirements recommended by ICAO, EU, TSA, and other major security programs to help keep your organization compliant. Whether you work at an airport, airline or other aviation-related organization, this course will ensure you stay current with recent incidents, regulations, security processes, human capital challenges and technology trends.

Being an instructor requires dynamic knowledge and abilities in light of the many changes in the industry, operational and commercial, alongside security issues as well as challenges involving the human factor, planning and resource management. You will perform various activities throughout the course, including exercises and case studies, to ensure your capabilities are continuously developing and updated to instruct and train staff in aviation security. You will also gain valuable insight from analyzing the latest incidents and aiming at recent training methodologies through sharing experiences in this IATA international, diverse classroom environment.

Course format

  • The live sessions of this virtual classroom course are delivered by an official IATA Instructor.
  • The course will take you approximately 18 hours to complete and be held over 3 consecutive days.
  • There will be 2 live interactive virtual classroom sessions per day, each session will be 180 minutes.
  • The live sessions will require your participation, with multiple Q&A sessions and additional time spent on self-study material including projects, research, additional reading and videos.
  • Student performance will be based on an assessment.

Prerequisites

  • Recommended level is Intermediate.
  • The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 for courses in English or the equivalent level for other languages.

Certificate awarded
