What is IATA Training?
IATA Training refers to professional courses developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to ensure aviation and travel industry professionals gain the technical knowledge, regulatory understanding, and operational skills required to meet global safety and performance standards. These programs cover a wide range of topics—from airline operations and airport management to cargo, travel, safety, and compliance—helping both newcomers and experienced staff develop industry‑recognized expertise.

Which course should I start with?
If you're new to the aviation or travel industry and want to focus on Travel & Tourism, the best place to start is the IATA Foundation in Travel and Tourism course. It’s specifically designed for beginners and provides essential knowledge of airline operations, travel documentation, ticketing, and industry regulations.
This foundational course helps you build a solid base before moving on to more specialized programs such as customer service, airport operations, cargo, or advanced travel consultancy, depending on your career.
How do I register for a course?
You can register for any instructor‑led classroom or virtual classroom course directly through the IATA Training website. The process is as follows:
- Search for your course via the IATA Training homepage or course calendar.
- Open the course page and click “Register.”
- Log in to the IATA Customer Portal (create an account if you don’t have one).
- Select “Available courses”, then add the course to your shopping basket.
- Proceed to checkout, enter your billing information, agree to the Conditions of Sale, and complete payment.
- You will receive a confirmation email once registration is complete.
Can I study online?
Many of our courses are available in a fully online format, allowing you to learn at your own pace from anywhere in the world. You can choose from self‑study eLearning modules, or virtual classroom sessions led by our instructors.
