About the diploma

The Project Management Diploma uses one of the most effective internationally recognized methodologies in partnership with the Project Management Institute (PMI), providing a broad understanding of project management, from definition to planning, monitoring and control. Participants use their own projects to apply concepts taught throughout the Program.

The Diploma curriculum is delivered by a group of experts with extensive experience in project management in an aviation context.
The Program includes a comprehensive list of topics covering key knowledge skills that can be transferred and applied to any groups of people. The Diploma represents a sure way to launch and/or advance your career in Project management.

Additional information

IATA has been reviewed and approved as a provider of project management training by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Registration

Candidates must complete 2 Required courses and 2 Elective courses within three years.

A passing mark of 70% is required on all assignments and exams. A special distinction is awarded to candidates who obtain a distinction in all, or all but one, of all course exams and assignments that make up this Diploma.

How to obtain your diploma

  1. Complete all 2 Required and 2 selected Elective courses that make up the Diploma, within 3 years.
  2. Please contact us on our Customer Portal to request your diploma, stating the title of the diploma you are applying for and the list of courses you completed for that diploma.
  3. IATA Training will issue your diploma upon verification of your eligibility.

Project Management - Advanced (classroom)

Further develop your project planning skills and acquire practical techniques to deal with real projects.

This course will teach you the fundamentals of project management.

Enterprise Risk Management for Aviation (classroom)

Learn about the IATA IRM methodology and obtain the tools to implement a risk management process within your organization – from corporate risks to operational-related risks.

Lean - Six Sigma in Aviation (classroom)

This course will provide you with an overview of the lean methodology and the tools necessary to support improvement projects and the application of Lean Six Sigma in your company.

This course will equip you with tools and methodology you can easily apply when taking on multiple projects, programs, and portfolios.
